Milton Bonus Ball Lottery

The Christmas Lottery was a success with all numbers being sold and 3 prizes of £100  being won in December 2017.

Thanks to everyone who supported. Profits will be used for the upkeep of Milton Village Hall.

*************************************************************************************************************

After many successful years the weekly Bonus Ball lottery was drawn for the final time on July 29th 2017. Many thanks to everyone who has supported the Bonus Ball Lottery over the years.

Rather than lose the lottery forever we have decided to run a Bonus Ball Lottery in December 2017. The cost of a number will be £10, which will cover three draws in December with a prize of £100 paid to each winner each week. The balance of the prize money will be used for the ongoing maintenance of the Village Hall.

The December draw dates are Saturday 2nd, 9th and 16th.

All Bonus Ball lottery supporters will be given the opportunity to buy their old lottery numbers until October 31st 2017 before they become available to others.

The success of the draw will depend on all 59 numbers being sold, should this not be the case then any monies will be returned in full.

If you would like to take part please contact Sue White on 01283 701978 / suewhite@talk21.com

or deliver to Poppy Cottage, 85 Main Street Milton.

In the Milton Village Hall Lottery there are 59 numbers .  Number 1 is held by the Village Hall for which no payment is made . The remaining 58 numbers have been allocated to past and present residents of Milton and people who take part regularly in the Village Hall activities.  These  members  pay £1 per ticket per week  as a condition of membership. Each week the member who holds the number which corresponds with the number of the Bonus Ball

drawn in the National Lottery on  Saturday Night receives a prize of £45.

Should a member decide not to continue  membership,  the ticket number is immediately available for issue to any other person living in Milton or engaged in Village Hall activities.  During the inevitable gap between a resignation and the finding of a new  member the ticket number is taken over by the Village Hall , which is what happened with ticket number 50. This explains why in the statement below the Village Hall paid for lottery tickets the sum of £6 and received two Lottery prizes of £45 each one with number 1 and the other with ticket number 50.

For the year ended 31st January 2017 the income which The Milton Village Hall Lottery produced for the Milton Village Hall was as follows:
