Organisations

Milton WI

Although small Milton WI is a lively and friendly institute, which attracts members from the village and surrounding areas.

Meetings are held in the Village Hall on the third Wednesday of each month and visitors are always welcome. Most months there is a speaker followed by free refreshments and a chance to chat. There are popular outings including a recent one to a local British vineyard!

The You Tube clip below shows the many talents of the members. What you see was written and performed by members of Milton WI.

Krav Maga

The Hall is used by a thriving Krav Maga group organised by Duncan Hogg. Krav Maga is pure self-defence and was developed in Israel to emphasise the neutralisation of threats.

The classes are held at Milton Village Hall on Mondays and Tuesdays from 7pm to 8.30pm.

Contact Duncan Hogg 07973 663601.

Monthly Lunch Club

Supported by Derbyshire CC as part of their Befriending Scheme the Monthy Lunch Club is very much appreciated by the local community, a chance to meet up with friends and enjoy a cooked meal in good company.

Local Government

The Hall is used for local elections and some Parish Council meetings.

Band Practices

The Village Hall is used regularly by local bands to practice.

Other

The Hall is the perfect size for adults or childrens’ parties, meetings, practice sessions, or small receptions. It is large enough to accommodate 60 people for a seated event but small enough to be friendly and welcoming. For events where no seating is required up to 100 people can be accommodated.
